Senior Security Engineer, Enterprise Security

About the role
This seat sits on the Enterprise Security team inside a security engineering org that reports to the CISO, not IT. You will protect employees, devices, identity, email, and the SaaS applications the business runs on. It is for someone who has personally built, tuned, and operated the corporate security stack at a strong technology company, written their own detections, and run incidents end to end. Mostly remote with the NYC office about once a month, on-call rotation, and visa sponsorship available.
What you will own
- Security controls across Mac endpoints (MDM and EDR), identity and access (SSO, MFA, device trust, access reviews), and email security on Google Workspace.
- SaaS security posture, configuration hardening, and end-to-end security reviews of third-party tools.
- SIEM detections, alerting, and automation for corporate telemetry, plus investigations and forensics.
- A new data loss prevention program across email, cloud storage, collaboration tools, and endpoints.
- Security policy, architecture improvements, and mentoring junior security engineers.
What we are looking for
- Five or more years in security engineering with three or more inside a corporate or enterprise security team reporting to security leadership, not IT operations.
- Has personally deployed and operated endpoint security and MDM for Mac, EDR, IAM, Google Workspace email security, and SaaS security.
- Has authored SIEM detections and investigated the events they surfaced, and run forensics on endpoints, network, or cloud.
- Strong written and verbal communication and comfortable being the technical authority on a team.
- Based in the NYC area and willing to do on-call.
Nice to have
- Designed or operated a DLP program.
- AI security in a corporate context: governing employee use of AI tools or building visibility around AI usage.
- Cloud security exposure on AWS or GCP, and certifications like GIAC, OSCP, CISSP, or AWS Security Specialty.
