About the role

This is not a traditional quant role. It is a DeFi-native strategy and product operator who designs and deploys yield strategies across protocols, owns real-time risk across onchain positions, and helps create new yield products. Success looks like designing and deploying a working strategy within the first ninety days. You need both the financial rigor of TradFi and hands-on understanding of how lending, AMMs, staking, and routing actually behave in production.

What you will own

  • Yield strategy design, backtesting, and deployment across lending, AMM, and staking protocols.
  • Real-time risk across onchain positions: drawdowns, liquidation risk, exposure.
  • Risk frameworks, monitoring, and trigger systems built with engineers and product.
  • Identifying and shaping new yield products and opportunities.

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on DeFi experience with lending (Aave, Morpho, Maple), AMMs, staking and LSTs, and routing or RFQs.
  • Has managed capital across multiple strategies and made real allocation decisions.
  • Has built or deployed strategies in live conditions, not just modeled them.
  • Strong applied math and stats: portfolio optimization, risk modeling, simulation.
  • Can explain how you would allocate ten million dollars across DeFi today and how you manage the downside.

Nice to have

  • Managed capital at a DeFi fund, crypto hedge fund, or protocol treasury.
  • Built yield optimization frameworks or risk monitoring systems.
